Seems like a strange endeavor. With all the complaints on how they treat their employees and former employees they have the money for something as far reaching from their business as shark research? I know they have the money to do this, but, they should focus on the employees that make their company great. There are companies that are good to work for. According to the people that work for CAT, it is not. People are leaving CAT over benefits. Now they are funding Shark Research.
